Dear traveler, you are in Amsterdam and you have already experienced some of the typical touristy things that you might have heard of, but you are craving more. Amsterdam is a great city for endless exploring and there is so much more than Anne Frank’s house and the Red Light District.
Ok, while still in the Red Light District you will want to check out Salon de Thé (The Smallest House in Amsterdam). If you are a fan of tea in combination with a cute and cozy atmosphere, then this is definitively a place for you.

In the city known as the “Venice of North” due to its numerous canals, you might want to find the smallest one. Blauwburgwal is Amsterdam shortest canal, connects the two innermost canals, Singel and Herengracht. It is only 100 meters long or short, however you see it. Mornings in Amsterdam are pretty cool, so why not get your coffee to go, sit at canal and admire tall, leaning houses?!

From here you can walk and discover Jordaan -often cited as Amsterdam’s most charming neighborhood, wandering there feels like stepping back in time. Originally a working class area, the Jordaan’s narrow streets and weird buildings now make up one of Amsterdam’s most desirable quarters, dotted with independent art galleries, antiques shops, courtyard gardens and atmospheric bars and restaurants.

When it comes to bridges in Amsterdam, some people claim you can find three times more bridges here than in Venice, and for sure, one not to be missed is Skinny Bridge, maybe the most romantic spot in the city. Legend has it that couples who kiss passionately crossing under the Skinny Bridge will be in love forever.

If coming to Skinny Bridge from Jordaan, Flower market (Bloemenmarkt) will be on your way so stop there for some typical souvenirs or tulip bulbs, your loved ones will appreciate them.

And food! Oh, you will be asking for more! Beside great Indonesian food, on every corner there are tons of restaurants where you can try various cheeses, smoked sausages, fresh herring, croquettes on staples and pancakes. There is something for everyone and they are all AMAZING! Are you thinking about extending your stay yet?
