Heading

  • Grafenwöhr: Trip Leader (M/f/d)

    Explore Europe is looking for a Trip Leader for several trips in 2024 and beyond!

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Greet and check-in all passengers upon arrival for departure
    • Support the group throughout the trip ensuring all passengers are accounted for during designated times (bus breaks, city tours, etc.)
    • Provide helpful information relevant to cities including transportation, tourist attractions, excursions, etc.
    • Demonstrate a professional appearance of Explore Europe to corporate entities such as hotels, bus companies, city tour companies, and other partners
    • Handle on-the-spot issues with American passengers in a professional manner
    • Communicate between all parties including bus drivers, hotel, local guides, etc.
    • Send trip debrief reports and feedback in a timely manner
    • Update our trip leader manual
    • If interested and for extra bonus: support us with blog articles and/or photos for our social media marketing
    • For Senior Trip Leaders: Onboard and train Jr. Trip Leaders during trips
    • Other tasks as required

    Qualities appropriate for this position:

    • Enjoy traveling by bus
    • Enthusiastic personality
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Experience in group travel in and to major tourist cities in Europe
    • English language proficiency
    • Other European languages would be helpful
    • Ability to research destinations (e.g. opening hours for restaurants, shops, pharmacy, highlights, attractions, public transport etc.)
    • A valid driver’s license and owning a vehicle
    • PCS/ETS/DEROS date should be in 2026/2027

    Compensation: The full compensation and benefits package will be provided during the interview and training stage. A few of the benefits are:

  • Office Wiesbaden: Internship In International Tourism Management (M/f/d)

    Starting date: September 2nd, 2024

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Source the most suitable partners around Europe including hotels, restaurants, local guides, experiences and transportation for group trips
    • Build very strong relationships with prospective and current suppliers
    • Identify new business partners
    • Settle accounts
    • Gather feedback from travelers and trip leaders on performance
    • Quality control of services to meet standards and KPIs
    • Prepare and assist with weekly sales, eCommerce, performance reports
    • Other duties as required and assigned

    Qualities appropriate for this position:

    • Enrolled student (preferably in tourism, economics, business, or trade)
    • Ability to commit 35 hours per week
    • Travel experience and passionate about travel
    • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
    • German, Italian & Spanish are favorable, but not required
    • Ability to understand and work with other cultures
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Creative problem solving mind-set
    • Self-driven and flexible
    • Ability to make decisions autonomously
    • Highly sociable and energetic
