Trip leader Sharon shares her tips and tricks to make the most of your time in Lake Garda & Verona. Read on to find out more!
A hidden gem in Lake Garda?
Thermal Baths, all around Lake Garda there are numerous Thermal Baths. I love the Lake but sometimes the water is a bit cold with it coming off of the mountains . You can hit up one of the thermals to get the stunning views while relaxing in warm water!
Your insider tip for Verona?
Wander the streets and embrace the Italian lifestyle. Start at the Arena and walk down Centro Storico where you’ll fulfill your Italian Dream. Stop in a shop for shoes and bags, hit up a Cafe for fresh coffee and who could forget my favorite GELATO!
An Italian food discovery?
I have always loved cheese, but living in Italy I fell in love with Bufala Mozzarella. Something about it being to creamy makes my mouth water. I love to pair it with Prosciutto Ham, Salami, Cantaloupe, Tomatoes and of course bread.
A must to bring with you to Italy?
A refillable water bottle. Italy gets hot and while you are busy exploring you will need to stay hydrated. Throughout Italian cities you will find fresh water points for you and your pets to get fresh clean water.
Your final piece of advice for explorers?
Don’t be afraid to meet new people. I have traveled solo for many years and I have met some amazing people along the way. I normally do a walking tour and use the down time to strike up conversation and it flows from there. Some have become future travel partners in other cities.
